THE driver of a car involved in a one vehicle crash on the A77 has been taken to hospital.
The incident took place on a stretch of the road near Maybole earlier this afternoon.
Eyewitness reports suggest the car flipped on its side and passers-by got out to assist before emergency services reached the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.10pm on Friday, 16 September, 2022, officers were called to reports of a one vehicle crash on the A77 near Maybole.
“Emergency services attended and the driver was taken to hospital.
“Officers assisted with traffic management.”
