Hundreds of hardy souls braved the chill to raise a fantastic sum for charity at Ayr's Boxing Day Dip.
The event, in aid of Ayrshire Cancer Support, kicked off at 11am at Ayr Beach on Tuesday and saw a fantastic turnout.
Those brave enough to dive into the near freezing waters were in fine form, many of them sporting suitably festive costumes.
Warm up exercises took place before the plunge into the sea, while DJ Colin McArdle was on hand to provide music and entertainment, as well as count down the participants before the plunged into the water.
Congratulations to all those who took part on the day.
The cash raised will go to Ayrshire Cancer Support, which provides practical and emotional support for people affected by cancer all over Ayrshire, including cancer patients, their families and carers, and people who are bereaved through cancer.
