An Ayr resident claims the street where a sinkhole appeared last year now has a parking problem after repairs were "botched".
Alan Craig has warned of a potential accident in Thornwood Avenue, Dalmilling, where workmen have now competed fixing a hole in the street.
He says the parking spot opposite his home is now two foot narrower at the top and is a hazard.
The repair work was carried out by The Coal Authority as the sinkhole was caused by historic mineworks below the road.
They insist the work is fine and there's nothing to worry about.
However, Alan said: "While the hole has now eventually been repaired, they have managed to put the parking bay back in so badly that it is dangerous to park in it.
"Any car parking in it protrudes into the road as they have managed to build it in a taper. There's a two foot difference from top to bottom.
"You can clearly see that it is off square and too narrow at one end. Yet they are trying to say there is nothing wrong with it.
"It is only a matter of time until an accident happens because of the bad workmanship. Any car parking there could be hit by another vehicle."
A Coal Authority spokesperson said: “Contractors working for the Coal Authority are very experienced at this type of work and have reinstated the road to the correct highway specifications.
"Ayrshire Road Alliance has also visited the site and confirmed that the road surface meets all the correct highway specifications and has been reinstated correctly.”
